A brew and a
slice by the canal
An independent café in a Yorkshire stone building just off Skipton's market high street. Proper coffee, loose leaf tea and food made in house, to stay in or take away.

We are a small, independently owned café a few minutes from Skipton's well loved market high street, close to the canal with public parking right outside. It is a homely little room: counter service, a chalkboard of drinks, cakes in the glass cabinet, and a garden for when the sun is out.

Intense espresso, powerful americanos, full fat lattes and flat whites, plus a good selection of cafetieres if you want a pot to yourself, and loose leaf tea for the tea drinkers. Our coffee range is sold as whole beans too, or ground to your specification for filter or espresso, so the good stuff goes home with you.
The coffee is the heart of it. If you are tired of chain cappuccinos, this is the antidote. We also sell our coffee range as whole beans, or ground however you like it, so you can take it home.

People keep measuring the coffee here against the high street chains, and the chains lose. Better quality, better value, and the sandwiches and paninis get the same praise.
Regulars call it a hidden gem: a quiet spot near the canal with high ceilings, a sunny garden and parking right outside, a little away from the bustle of the centre.
The room itself comes up again and again, friendly and comfortable with music playing, easy with groups and prams, and the almond croissants earn a mention of their own.
